Tony Pepper

Principal Consultant

During his 20 years in the WA Public Sector, Tony worked in a range of management and consultant positions for a variety of agencies including the Public Sector Management Office.  In his position of Senior Consultant, Senior Executive Service Tony was responsible for coordinating and monitoring the recruitment and selection of senior executives and CEOs. Tony has developed policy for a wide range of employment matters including redeployment, redundancy and performance agreements for Chief Executives and has been a Review and Conciliation Officer with the Office of Public Sector Standards since 2001.

Tony’s qualifications include a Master of Business (Curtin University) and BSc (Chemistry) UWA. Further training includes a Practitioners Certificate in Mediation and Conciliation, Institute of Mediators and Arbitrators, Melbourne; a Cert IV in Training & Assessment and Certificate in Industrial Relations. Tony is an Individual Member of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association Australia and New Zealand.


Chris Gibbins

Consultant

Chris has worked as a consultant with Austral Human Resources since 2013 and more than 10 years’ experience in analytical and client facing roles in the UK and Australia. He has managed and recruited for teams when working as performance and risk analyst for superannuation houses, private wealth managers and investment banks. Chris has worked for UBS, Bank of New York Mellon and Macquarie Bank. Chris also has VET training experience and his qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honours) in Economics, Certificate IV in Human Resources and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. He is an Accredited Professional Recruiter, Recruitment and Consulting Services Assoc. Australia & New Zealand.


Alan Davies

Consultant

Alan has significant specialist human resource and industrial relations experience, including complex investigations of disciplinary, sub-standard performance, grievances and equal employment opportunity matters under the Public Sector Management Act and related statutes. Alan's 30 years public sector experience includes 12 years with the Office of Industrial Relations and 18 years with the Department of Health in central, outer metropolitan and North West health services.

Alan developed a specialty in industrial relations, working as an industrial officer, research officer and senior industrial inspector. He was seconded to the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission and UWA. Alan was later approached by Health Service General Managers to establish and manage human resource departments at Swan Health Service and in the Kimberley region. Alan is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
